Background Chad is a Founder and Principal of Interkannections and serves as a Director of Abound, CSR Committee Vice-chair for the American Chamber of Commerce Japan (ACCJ) and Co-Director of Integral Japan. He has led change management, leadership pipeline, and organizational evolution projects with global corporations, SMEs, local governments, NPOs and the UNCRD since 1995. Chad also serves as a Global Executive Coach, co-created the Capacity Evolution Change Agent training program for Interkannections, and has lectured at the Kyoto University MBA School. Projects and Results include: - Bottom Line Productivity Improvement: Worked with a management team to completely remove a planned overseas cost center and redesign the existing organization around customer satisfaction resulting in a cost savings of millions of euros and profitability increases in the hundreds of millions of yen
- Career Planning & Development: Co-created individual development profiles linked to leadership assessments and personal and team scorecards that improved core leadership competencies, key performance indicators, and target agreement results
- Change Management: Guided a leadership team through a process of vision, mission & strategy clarification and linked the results to clear projects, business scorecards and behavior evolution that allowed the organization to dramatically outperform prior revenue generation
- Global Project Management: Retrained project managers to become global project managers (following a global merger) creating a change from constant fighting to collaboration, systems and processes integration, and cost reduction
- Leadership Pipeline: Installed a leadership pipeline and internal “leadership university” in an acquired firm with “no leadership” resulting in pipeline members matching or exceeding the leadership standards of the owner company within three years
- M&A Integration: Supported a three-party international merger resulting in a reported dramatic increase in “buy-in,” communication, collaboration, performance improvement and stress reduction
- Organizational Culture Transformation: Guiding the transformation of an R&D culture in a major automotive manufacturer from an “I” center to a “T” center resulting in significant product improvement, cost advantages, leadership and decision-making enhancement and global coordination ability
- Organization Design: Designed a local multicultural organization for a foreign entity with the result that it went on to outperform most of its sister organizations in Asia, Europe and North America
- Performance Appraisal: Upgraded performance appraisal systems to integrate leadership capacity with core competencies and results leading to improved results and leadership ability by top and middle managers
- Systems & Processes Redesign: Worked with an internal team to map the organization’s existing systems & processes, clarify effective and ineffective ones in the context of the organization’s current value chain, and redesign the overall system resulting in increased ease of use, improved client satisfaction, and some time savings
