Background ![]() Bill enjoys the challenge and adventure of working with smart and capable people in dynamic business situations. The thrill of growing a business, developing a new business model, or turning a company around is similar to the fun of a new backcountry descent through fresh powder on skis or snowboards with a group of great friends. The group together must scout the descent from the top, and choose the best route from a limited vantage point. A well chosen route can yield unbelievable fun. A poorly chosen route can lead to a long, slow slog through deep powder, or worse, become dangerous. Whether blazing backcountry trails, starting a business or helping an existing organization evolve, once committed there is no going back. In order to help clients pick the right path for development Bill blends strategies and tactics from a wide range of disciplines and experience to find creative solutions to complicated projects. Bill has served as owner, founder or co-founder of a number of businesses and served as a hired CEO forothers. He has also served start ups and established businesses as a lawyer with experience in transactions and litigation, and as a consultant working on brand development, licensing, marketing, business planning and continuous improvement (kaizen). Education Bill has earned a juris doctor from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude in a self-designed interdisciplinary environmental studies major.
